Now, once in a while you find one of those guys that really master this style and come up with a great work of art like this guy here,f or example… ... So, here it is, Unbreak my heart on jazz guitar… ... Enjoy and comment! ... Bookmark It ...

John Prine is a national treasure. He usually turns pretty straightforward and classic fingerstyle chord playing (think variations on G, C, F & D) into beautiful guitar tunes played alongside humorous or poignant lyrics. While never a top-selling artist, Prine has enjoyed consistent success over the course of his 40 year career and he continues [ ... ] ...
Often when a new guitar comes along we look at the specs and think, “That guitar looks pretty good, but we sure wish it had x.” (In case you haven’t noticed, we can be perfectionists about guitars here at Fretbase.) Not so with the Martin M-30 Jorma Kaukonen - and before this guitar came along [ ... ] ...
I first heard Steve Morse back in 1990 I think it was, I had been playing guitar about a year and I heard the Celtic influenced Highland Wedding which featured some nice fingerpicking and melodic rock lines and it made me want to hear more. I had just heard Eric Johnson’s Ah Via Musicom and was blown away by this seemingly new genre of melodic shred. I went on to purchase Southern Steel and Coast To Coast both of which I still listen to, and at the time I had never even heard of Dixie
Some time ago I have decided to post here guest posts from other fellow guitar bloggers, hoping this will bring something now to the table, different from what I usually write about. So, this being said, today I will post here an article of Anton Emery, the Community Manager of http://www.RhythmStrummer.com. Legg has been described as “impossible to categorize” and has become well known for his acoustic fingerstyle abilities, alternate tunings and strange looking guitars. Like us, Adrian Legg is a bit of a gear nut and over the years has been involved [ ... ] ...

Well we did, and we were very happy to find a fantastic fingerstyle guitarist.Richard Gilewitz has a style reminiscent of Leo Kottke and has in fact shared the stage [ ... ] ...
There is something about a gold Bigsby that says class, especially when it is attached to such a beautiful Antique Sunburst highly flamed Maple guitar like the Tom Doyle Supreme. Following on from the sad news of Les Paul passing away last week I thought it would be a good time to feature Tom Doyle guitars as Tom has been the luthier to Les Paul for many years. Aside from the late great Les Paul, Tom also made guitars for George Benson, Jimmy Page and Sting. Tom has been making these high
We’ve stumbled across an incredibly talented guitarist from the land down under: Smokin’ Joe Robinson. Not to be confused with Smokin’ Joe Bonamassa, this Smokin’ Joe is a fingerstyle genius at the ripe old age of 18. Before we all collectively moan about yet another kid that can play guitar way better than we can, [ ... ] ...
